At Debray Farm we love having family and friends come to our farm to enjoy fishing, deer and turkey hunting. We keep our pond stocked with perch, bass and crappie. Family and Friends also have harvested some really nice deer during bow and gun season. The turkey are plentiful here on the farm. We have had no problems getting our share of the big ole gobblers that strut their stuff every turkey season. An animal's Angel we try to be, taking them in to live harm free.
Showing them love and that life is good, so many of them are just misunderstood.
Taking in rescues to do our part, healing their wounds as well as their hearts. We wish we could take all of them in, but we do know that there are other Angels that will now and then. OUR EXPERIANCES WITH GREAT PYRENEES IS THAT WE HAVE LEARNED THAT THEIR NATURAL GAURDING INSTINCTS SEEM TO KICK IN WHEN THEIR ABOUT ONE AND A HALF YEARS OLD. UNTILL THEN THE PLAYFULNESS OF A GREAT PYRENEES PUPPY CAN BE SOMEWHAT AGITATING, THEY DO NOT UNDERSTAND AT THIS AGE WHAT THEIR JOB IS. WITH MUCH LOVE AND PATIENCE, THE REWARD OF AN ADULT GREAT PYRENEES IS WELL WORTH THE WAIT ! GRACIE, OUR EIGHT YEAR OLD PYRENEES IS STARTING TO SLOW DOWN A BIT. WE PLANNED ON GETTING A NEW GREAT PYRENEES PUPPY THIS SPRING. WE RECIEVED A PHONE CALL CONCERNING MAE WHICH SHE BECAME A YEAR OLD IN NOVEMBER 2009. WE ADOPTED MAE PICTURED ABOVE THIS PAST OCTOBER AND OUR HEARTS HAVE GROWN TEN FOLDS THEIR SIZE BECAUSE OF HER ! THANK YOU MAE !!! PLEASE THINK ABOUT RESCUING A GREAT PYRENEES ! THE REWARD IS GREAT JOY !!! |
